Cameron Mearns

  • Master of Engineering – Mechatronics, Massey University
  • Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) – Mechatronics, Massey University
  • GE Additive – Arcam EBM Material Development (Level 3)
  • Certificate in Adult Education and Training (Level 4), Certificate in Recreation and Sport (Level 3), Certificate in Outdoor Recreation (Level 3)

Cameron joined Zenith Tecnica in 2018 from Massey University’s School of Engineering and Advanced Technology. Whilst attending, he was involved in mechanical design and manufacturing, product development and feasibility, and research and development projects. His time within the Centre for Additive Manufacturing gave him experience with a wide range of additive manufacturing types, particularly polymer and Powder Bed Fusion technologies, such as Selective Laser Sintering.

This background gives Cameron a strong interest in process improvement, which he applies as a member of the production team. He has training to this end, both in GD&T and Material Development, and enjoys pushing the boundaries of what EBM can do. Cameron also serves as our first aid officer.

Outside of work Cameron volunteers as a commissioned officer in the New Zealand Cadet Forces, through which he shares his interests in aviation and bushcraft.
